This sculpture is comprised of 183 different pieces of luggage donated and sourced from Colorado residents.

The sculpture weighs about 3000lbs. Each of the 6 sections comprising the sculpture weighs about 450lbs.

The largest piece of luggage is an large wooden vintage chest donated by Tai Beldock.

The smallest bag is donated by Denver artist Collin Parson. The bag is his daughter’s purse and was one of the very last pieces to be donated

The budget for the artwork is $450,000. Funding for this project comes from the City’s 1% for Public Art Ordinance designated by the Gate Expansion Program’s construction budget at DEN. No taxpayer dollars are used for any artwork at DEN.

About 21 gallons of primer and 90 gallon of flame retardant was used in the process of prepping all the luggage and items.

There are 14 different floating items orbiting the main sculpture. These items were fabricated in-studio, donated, and collected through Craigslist.
